University College London is pleased to announce the inauguration of the UCL Global Masters Scholarships, which will help students from low-income families pursue their ambition of studying in the United Kingdom.
This scholarship has been established by University College London exclusively for international students pursuing a full-time master’s degree programme. The scholarship is worth £15,000 and will be distributed to 70 overseas students.
Furthermore, the UCL Global Master’s Scholarship is designed to assist and encourage overseas students who do not have the financial resources to undertake a full-time Master’s degree at UCL. All interested students are welcome to apply, and the deadline for this award is May 12th, 2022. While candidates can come from any nation outside of the United Kingdom, there are still some requirements that must be met.

Eligibility for the UCL Global Masters Scholarship
Before applying for the UCL Global Masters Scholarship, the following criteria must be met;
- be entitled to pay the Overseas fee rate
- originating from a low-income family
- have applied for a full-time Master’s degree at UCL in the academic year 2022/23
There is no restriction as to nationality as citizens of any country are eligible to apply.

How to Apply

The following are the instructions for completing the online scholarship application form:
- Log in to Portico using your usual credentials.
- If you haven’t already, go to the “My Applications” page (also known as the Applications Homepage).
- To apply for financing, click the ‘View’ button for the ‘Active Application’ you want to apply for.
- On the application screen, go to the top of the page and select ‘Funding’ from the menu.
- You’ve arrived at the funding section of the website. Click ‘Check and apply’ under ‘Funds Available’ to see which funds you are eligible to apply for.
- To apply for a scholarship, click on the name of the programme you want to apply for.
The scholarship is given out based on financial need and the Student Funding Office’s recommendation.
The scholarship is valued at £15,000 and is only usable for one year.
For the academic session, up to 70 scholarship slots will be available.
Other scholarships, studentships, awards, or bursaries may be held concurrently with the UCL Global Masters Scholarship. Depending on the total value of other monies obtained by the student, the amount of the UCL grant may be altered.
Before or after receiving the UCL Global Masters Scholarship, you are required to notify the UCL Student Money Office of any other funding they receive for their UCL Master’s degree studies.
The scholarship will first be allocated to your tuition costs, with any remaining funds going towards maintenance in three equal instalments over the course of the academic year.

The deadline for this scholarship is 5 p.m. BST on Thursday, May 12, 2022, kindly try and complete an online application form before the deadline.
