Eligibility for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship

To qualify for the Pearson International Scholarship, you must be one of the following:

  • a non-Canadian international student (i.e., one who needs a study permit);
  • enrolled in your last year of high school or who will graduate no earlier than June 2022;
  • starting your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2023. (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered;
  • students starting their studies in January 2023 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered)

The application process for the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship

You must be nominated by your school and apply to the University of Toronto for undergraduate study in order to be considered a new Pearson Scholar. Inquire about nominations from the guidance counsellor at your school. Your private, secure link to the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship application will be emailed to you once you have been nominated and submitted an application to the University of Toronto.

Students who have shown remarkable academic ability and inventiveness, who are recognized as leaders in their schools, and who have the potential to make future contributions to the global community are considered to be Pearson Scholars. Scholarship Award
