The purpose of the program is to award scholarships for students attending The School of Nursing. The recipients must be with good academic standing in the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions and must have a financial need, as established through the Office of Financial Aid.
Access & Accommodations Center Scholarship in Memory of Margaret A. Staton
In order to offer scholarships for Georgia State University undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities who are taking studies on the Atlanta campus. Recipient(s) for award award(s) need to register at the Margaret A. Staton Access & Accommodations Center. Priority is given to those with physical disabilities that are documented. Please note: Only applications that are submitted online and received on time will be taken into consideration.
Ahmed T. Abdelal Fellowship in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology
This award is presented to outstanding students in doctoral studies for achievements in the fields of molecular genetics and biotechnology. The award is determined by merit, and winners are chosen from the Biology Department Awards Committee; students do not have to apply.
Aileen & Chris Valianos Fellowship in Music
Support for graduate students studying in The School of Music. The applicants are required to be academically sound at Georgia State University and the School of Music, have established financial need as assessed through the GSU Office of Financial Aid and have the an ability to make a prestigious scholar or student in their field of study, and possess an average GPA of 3.0.
Al Baumstark Award in Chemistry
To offer scholarships for graduate students majoring in Chemistry within the College of Arts & Sciences. If all other requirements are equally met, preference is given to first-generation college students or students from groups that are underrepresented.
Alfredo Barili Scholarship
To offer scholarships to music students. Preference will be for undergraduate string players. Students must demonstrate their ability that can be demonstrated through an amalgamation of musical and academic ability as well as a GPA and ability to perform.
Allen and Eleanor Hollingsworth Scholarship
In order to offer scholarships to new or first-year students who are enrolled in the master’s programs in gerontology. Students must have a stellar academic record and demonstrate an interest in improving the quality and quantity of life for people with disabilities through volunteer work, internships or any other activities that the committee of selection considers suitable.
Alonzo F. & Norris B. Herndon Human Rights Endowed Scholarship
The purpose of the program is to award scholarship opportunities to any student attending Honors College. Honors College who has demonstrated enthusiasm for civil and human rights through advocacy, service research, scholarship, or service.
Alumni Association Graduate Student Scholarship
The purpose of the program is to award the opportunity to award scholarships to graduate students accepted to a degree programme within Georgia State University. The recipients should be awarded scholarships in good academic condition and must have attained an at least 3.0 GPA in their undergraduate degree program.
Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship
The purpose of the scholarship program is to provide scholarships in the event that a student is stepchild, child or grandchild of the Georgia State University graduate and possess a current GPA that is 3.0 or more. Personal essay and letter of Recommendation from a Legacy relatives are is required.
Alumni Association License to Learn Scholarship
Scholarships are offered for sophomore students who are who are in high academic standards on Georgia State University. Students must be able to show at least 2.75 GPA, and have a demonstrated financial need.
Alumni Association Scholarship for Children of GSU Faculty and Staff
To award scholarships to children of working faculty members or employees of Georgia State University. The applicant should be in excellent academic standing and have an at-least 3.0 GPA for their undergraduate studies. The children members of Scholarship Selection Committee members and children of the current Alumni Office staff members are not eligible for the scholarship.
Alumni Association Scholarship for US Military Veterans
The purpose of this program is to provide scholarships to US Military Veterans enrolled in good academic standing at Georgia State University. Students must demonstrate that they have financial needs that are not met and have an average grade point of 2.75.
Alumni Association Transfer Student Scholarship
The purpose of this program is to provide scholarships to students who transfer from Georgia State University from a junior college, community college, or two year institution. The recipients should be in good academic condition in the new institution and must have an at-least 3.0 GPA.
Alumni Undergraduate Scholarship in Religious Studies
The purpose of this program is to provide the opportunity to award scholarships for undergraduate students who have an academically sound state and studying at the College of Arts & Sciences studying a degree in Religion Studies.
Amanda G. Hyatt Fellowship
The purpose of the fellowship is to offer it to student students enrolled in an advanced masters degree with the focus of Nonprofit Studies. Candidates should have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in their undergraduateand degree-related courses as well as in the initial term of their masters degree course. Students in their first year of study can submit an application for the fellowship that will help them through your second academic year of postgraduate study. If you wish to be eligible for this award an application in its own is required. The deadline for applying is February 15.
Ambling Scholarship
Scholarships are offered to students who live within the University Commons and who display academic excellence. Priority will be given to students who study finance, real estate and urban policy studies.
Ambrose H. Pendergrast Fellowship
To be awarded to an outstanding doctoral student in the area of medicinal chemistry/biochemistry.
Andrew C. and Eula C. Carlos Endowed Scholarship
The purpose of the program is to award scholarships for students enrolled at the Robinson College of Business. Students must be undergraduates and have at least 3.0 GPA or as graduate students who have at least 3.25 GPA. Students must also be in financial need that is confirmed in the Student Financial Aid Office. Please visit to apply. The scholarships are available for the autumn semesters only. Applications are accepted from March 1 to March 31 of each year.
