To qualify, you must be a US-based African high school senior. Intend to further your education by enrolling on a 4-years course in a US university in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or select business programs (such as finance, business administration, or marketing). Show a strong passion for information technology. Demonstrate leadership at school or in the community with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
Required for application are; 2 letters of recommendation, a resume, a picture of yourself (in coloured), a transcript, and 2 essays. One of the essays should be about how you plan to join the tech industry in no more than 500 words, the other should talk about why you should be considered for this scholarship.

5. Illinois Wesleyan Univesity Scholarship
The Illinois Wesleyan Univesity has scholarship opportunities and financial aid strictly for international students. The university has Merit-Based Scholarships, President’s Scholarships and Need-Based Financial Aid for international students that wants to benefit from scholarship opportunities.
The Merit-Based Scholarship is for A+ scholars. Students with outstanding academic records or achievements. If you know you got this, apply to Illinois Wesleyan University.
